Margo Hoff (1910–2008) was an American painter, printmaker, and collagist who grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and developed her career first in Chicago and later in New York. After studying at Tulsa University and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, she worked across oil painting, drawing, woodcut, lithography, paper collage, and painted-canvas collage.
Hoff’s early paintings flattened figures and rooms into interlocking patterns; later works increasingly relied on cut shapes, layered surfaces, and strong color. She moved permanently to New York in 1960. Her papers, donated by the artist in 1975, are held by the Archives of American Art.
